Marjeh Square

The statue in the picture is a gift from the Italian architect “Raimondo Tommaso D’Aronco” on AD 1907 – Marjeh Square at the city center of Damascus / Syria.

I’ve always seen a lot of similarities in architecture between Damascus and Rome.

Unfortunately I don’t know Damascus, but I know Rome very well. Happy to read that the two towns have many similarities
