The main topic of news and media nowadays is this pandemic. The name of the disease is coronavirus disease 2019, abbreviated as COVID-19. ‘CO’ stands for ‘corona,’ ‘VI’ for ‘virus,’ and ‘D’ for the disease (reference). Anyway, I couldn’t but to have the following observations

It was forecasted

ISACA Journal 2017, Vol. 4: “It is forecasted that by 2020, 72.3 percent of the US workforce will be remote!”

[Please refer to CISA – I have passed the exam]

Apple and Google are unifying their efforts to trace people to protect them and society from the infection!!!

Covid requires Continuous Cleaning

Women Islamic veil might hinder your performance; but all are wearing face masks now!
Borders were closed against Syrian refugees; but travel is banned for all now!

To protect ourselves, we should always keep the following clean: BODY, ENVIRONMENT, and MORALS

Covid

Prayers for all to be safe and healthy during this Covid pandemic

Do you believe in conspiracy theory?
Except for lowering the salary, is working from home that bad?
Why “Social Distance”?!! Why not “Physical Distance”?!
Do you have other observations?

I asked myself the same question the other day. We are all in this together! If there is any good to come out of this pandemic it will be that humanity unites.

    Lack of privacy is everywhere!

    1. Mohamad Al Karbi Avatar

Yes, you’re totally correct, it unifies humanity and we pray things will become safe again soon. Be safe too and your family, my dear friend.
I’ll try to write some posts about privacy issues soon

I was just thinking how much worse this pandemic will be in war torn countries, Maybe there will be a silver lining and this crisis will bring us together but I doubt it. We worry about the toilet tissue shortage and others have no toilet to worry about. Insightful post, Mohamad. I wore a mask yesterday because the pollen has given me the usual dry cough and I didn’t want to frighten anyone. Instead I heard a critical comment, in earshot, of immune compromised people staying at home…you can’t win.

Maybe, but if it works …

Thank you for writing. Are you and your family safe? Here in Italy we are living a very difficult situation, but we often think of people in war: even much worse! Take care of you, and keep in touch

    1. Mohamad Al Karbi Avatar

Thank you, Paola. It’s good that there is technology to assist us during this tough time. Hope it works… From our side, we should be more aware how to use it though

My second home is Italy and Italians are our second family too. So, Italy has a great part in our prayers nowadays. Be patient, things will be fine shortly. I promise to pay you a visit then in Italy and you’ll invite me to a spaghetti pomodoro 🙂

I do not know one person I know or acquainted with who has this virus, nor does anyone else I have spoken with. I called my doctor’s office and they said their were no people at all who came in there with it. So tired of reading about it, what it is doing to our society and all the people who are freaking out where I live. They shut down the schools, libraries, etc. Thanks for the kind words and suggestions.
    Blessings to all.

Interesting, M. G., because I’ve read about some conspiracy theory here. Honestly, I don’t know. We have to follow the instructions anyway… Hope you and your family are safe.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if social distancing would brings wars to a halt? Maybe that will be the silver lining in this pandemic.

    1. Mohamad Al Karbi Avatar

I believe it will, my dear friend. However, i’m afraid that some bad economic consequences will be there too. Stay safe and your family.

      1. A Plus Attitude Avatar

Sadly, you make a good point. I like getting your prospective. We live in different countries and it’s always good to get feedback from a different point of view. And also to you and yours be safe, healthy and well.
