Wish you all happy holidays. During the last three months, a lot has happened:

Twitter has stopped its third-parties clients.

Or let’s say that they severely modified their API policy. Personally, I think Twitter has made a big mistake here. I’m pretty sure that there are a lot like me that hate the Twitter official website or phone application:

• Using multiple accounts is painful.
• Accessing lists is difficult.
• Memorizing the timeline position is almost not available.
• But I like its push updates – I don’t mean notifications only. And I think it’s the only application that enables you to manage ads.

TweetDeck was the trigger to my love of Twitter. It’s an old client that was doing the tweeting job in a way better than the official application itself. Twitter bought it later and kept it as web application only. They killed its mobile version. It’s still handy though for managing multiple accounts.

Other famous clients were: Tweetings, Flamingo, Talon, Plume, and Janetter.

HootSuite is the only application I know that has no limitations imposed by Twitter. But the mobile application itself is very limited comparing to its web version. It’s meant mainly for companies that have multiple accounts on multiple networks where they assign posting and follow ups to different persons. Thus, its subscription is very expensive.

Google is to stop G+

It has the best of Twitter and Facebook but it turned more into communities lately. It’s going to be shut down on Aug. 31, 2019.

Microsoft removed OneNote from Desktop Office 2019

It’s still available on Windows Store as a stand alone universal application but this is limited comparing to the desktop version. OneNote 2016 is going to be supported for one or two years more I believe.

Evernote dismissed some of its important employees.

Well, some read this as a bad news for Evernote and some argue it might be a good start. To be honest, I don’t think it’s easy to compete with MS OneNote and Apple Note.

Flickr has officially been merged into SumgMug now

Yet we are still able to login using our Yahoo’s credentials, Flickr is part of SumgMug’s pricing policy. The good news is that, at least, it’s still alive! However, their plans are expensive considering the free or low pricing competitors, i.e, Google, OneDrive, and Apple Photos

We lost a big talent in music… May his soul rest in peace. May the peace reign in France and all World too.

As for me, life has been very busy lately so I apologize for being a way for three months 🙂
